S&W Kitchens & Baths Wins 3 Industry Design Awards in 2021

S&W Kitchens is excited to announce that we have again won several industry awards for design in kitchen and bath remodeling. Our designers continue to innovate and create trends in design for our customers.

The Rustic Industrial bathroom above is designer by Lacie Rice in our Tampa showroom. It won the Chrysalis National Award for baths in the $50,000 – $75,000 category. In the original bathroom, the client wanted a larger shower area, removal of the tub and more storage space. A rich natural Walnut vanity provides plenty of storage via doors and drawers, along with a tall linen cabinet. A white quartz countertop, Quantum Calacutta, with classic pale gray veining provides a dramatic contrast with the cabinets and an elegant look. The large shower features classic neutral tones against a dramatic tile floor and dark-toned fittings and hardware throughout. Tile and flooring were purchased from Happy Floors.

In another Chrysalis Award, Sarah Kraus Bartelson in our Longwood showroom won a Regional award in the kitchens category from $75,000-$150,000 with her Coastal Farmhouse Kitchen. The home is on the East Coast of Florida – a summer house destined to become a retirement home for the family. The classic all white cabinetry with Shaker doors and an X design detail provide an ultra-clean look without the coldness found in some more modern designs. Cabinetry is Homecrest Sedona Collection in Alpine. Countertops are also white, with subtle grey veining – Statuario marble. The luxury vinyl flooring from Mohawk LVT is a great driftwood color (Hana) that will wear well with their beach lifestyle and two dogs.

MasterDesign Design contest awarded Lindsey Schwartz, in our Melbourne showroom, a bronze award for her Modern Master Bath. The client wanted to get rid of the tub and expand the shower for a dramatic master bath. Lindsey added a wraparound bench, which also covered the footer. She also backlit the countertop for a dramatic effect. She used Holiday Kitchens cabinets with Contemporary style in Alder wood with a Knight finish. The countertop is White Calcite Leather marble.
