For over 49 years, our family-owned business has helped Florida homeowners navigate the complexities of remodeling. Whether you are looking for a traditional, mid-level update or a fully custom layout, we ensure your project is beautifully designed and well-executed from the initial consultation to the final walk-through.
Fully Licensed, Insured, and Vetted
Peace of mind is built into our foundation. As a fully licensed and insured General Building and Plumbing Contractor, we take the risk out of renovations.
96% Budget Accuracy and Scheduling
Home remodels are notoriously under-quoted. We don't manipulate initial quotes just to get a signature. Thanks to our meticulous estimating process, you’ll be glad to hear that our track record speaks for itself – we have a 96% success rate when it comes to bid accuracy and scheduling. In other words, only around 4% of our construction jobs end up needing change orders. 96% of our jobs adhere to the initial quote provided by our team.
1. The Design Consultation aka Getting to Know You!
There’s no better way to understand your remodeling needs than meeting in your home so we can measure your space. During this initial conversation, we’ll discuss:
- Your ideas
- Goals
- Budget
We’ll also ask specific questions to fully understand how your family plans on using the space. A family of 5 will need a different design than empty nesters who rarely cook but entertain a lot!
We will share our project book with you so that you can see recent examples of our work. Whatever the scope you are contemplating, we have recent examples of similar projects to share that will help you understand who we are as a company and how we approach the remodeling of your home.
Once we’ve gathered all of the necessary info, we’ll custom tailor an estimate and design for your home. We understand that hiring a remodeling firm is a big decision. We’re looking forward to getting to know you!
2. Design, Project & Budget Review
Our remodeling designers will bring your space to life with a design created just for you, allowing you to visualize, ask questions and make informed decisions during this process.
Our goal is to build a home that meets the real life needs of your family while achieving the look and style you desire!
During this phase, we'll combine all of your ideas into a preliminary design and budget outlining the scope of work to be performed. Once you've decided to hire us, we’ll ask for a retainer.
The real fun starts now as we produce a final design. This design will include all product selections and the entire scope of work.
3. Professional Installation
At S&W, you’ll get both professional designers and construction managers who will go the extra mile for you. We handle every step of your project in house, which means you can expect the highest level of customer service, problem solving and friendly communication.
We know our clients are busy and that communication is the key to success so we start with a pre-construction meeting, which includes our design, project management and construction teams.
During this meeting, every detail is discussed from the products and layouts to the name of your pets to communication preferences. While in the construction phase, we will communicate with you frequently and our team is always available for any questions you may have.
All of the details are on us, from handling deliveries to clearing debris, ensuring that your home remains a tidy and secure environment throughout the construction process.
Once the dust settles and your project reaches completion, our team will conduct a final walk-through. They will meticulously inspect every detail to ensure it meets our rigorous quality standards.
We’re here for you every step of the way.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Process
Are you fully licensed and insured?
Yes. S&W Kitchens is a fully licensed General Building and Plumbing Contractor in the state of Florida (License #CBC1262059). We carry comprehensive insurance to protect you and your home throughout the entire renovation.
Do you charge a design fee?
The initial consultation, which includes measuring your space and discussing what your goals are and design possibilities, is free. If you choose to go forward and have complete plans drawn up, with pricing for structural changes and finishes, there is a small retainer fee.
Do you give prices over the phone?
We do not give pricing over the phone, but we will gladly price it off of a set of plans or during a showroom or in-home visit all for no obligation.
Will I have to hire my own electrician and plumber?
No. We offer complete renovation services from floor to ceiling, although you can hire your own plumber and electrician if you wish. We are a licensed General Contractor and we also hold a state plumbing contractor license.
Do you use subcontractors, and how are they managed?
We handle every step of your project in-house. While we partner with specialized, licensed trades for specific installations (like tile setting or plumbing), every single worker is vetted, background-checked, and directly supervised by your dedicated S&W Project Manager. We manage the crew so you don't have to.
How do you ensure projects stay on budget?
We put in the time upfront. By doing a meticulous, laser-precision estimate and finalizing all material selections before construction begins, we eliminate the guesswork. This detailed planning is why 96% of our jobs adhere exactly to the initial quote.
I have my own installer; do you just sell the product?
Yes, S & W sells just the product and will deliver it to the job site for you.
Do you do plan takeoffs?
S & W offers a full service to our customers whether it is for new construction or remodeling an existing home. S & W performs plan takeoffs for no charge.
The Big Box Home Centers do the same kind of work as you. Why should we come to you?
We offer a more personalized approach than the Home Centers. We are locally owned and operated and have been since our inception in 1977. The owners are hands on and involved in the daily operations as well as being involved in the community. Your sales person will personally lead you through the job from start to completion. And perhaps the most important reason: our pricing is always better.
