Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in New Orleans

Last weekend S&W Kitchens landed in force at KBIS – the home renovation answer to ComicCon or CES. This year it was held in New Orleans – a great town for history, design, culture and food! The Kitchen and Bath Industry Show immersed our designers, managers and owners in all of the new product offerings and updated them on new ways to serve our customers.

When asked about what they had seen and heard over the three day show that most impressed them, here is what we heard:

“There is no better investment for our company and our customers than to bring as many as possible to a show like this. It really helps us continue to deliver world class service and value to our clients.” – Owner Joe Steenbeke

What do you think your customers would have liked best?

“Being able to see the finishes and the function first hand, Brizo Aand ND Blanco stand out in my mind with their new touch and sensor technologies and great finishes” – Designer Samantha Frey

“I think our customers would have liked all the internal items that Haffele had on display, including the lighted lazy susans.” – Designer Glenn Rumer

“TOTO Washlets.. they can be configured to any toilet (like a toilet seat) and provide automated bidet functionality for relatively low cost. We will be installing them into all of our showrooms for customer demonstrations. “- Joe

What do you hope to use soon in a new project?

“Kohler Moxy shower head… This plays with a bluetooth and syncs to your phone automatically… Then take it out of the shower with you from its magnetic docking station and continue listening to music!” – Regional Manager/Designer Krista and Samantha

“Some of the new Schaub decorative hardware” – Glenn

What did you see or hear that made you want to know more? Anything that made you google?

“Salice had some really interesting hinge hardware for sliding doors. You could use it in a kitchen, in a closet, over a fireplace… endless opportunities!” – Samantha

“The explosion of social media into our industry… most importantly Houzz and Pinterest .” – Joe

What was the most important thing you learned or saw?

“The economic recovery is here… remodeling and new construction is growing robustly. Consumers are spending again.” – Joe

“It’s hard to pinpoint just one thing! It was a great experience and I loved seeing all the new products and learning more about existing products.” – Samantha

They were all excited about what they had seen and learned and ready to share it with their colleagues and customer. Best Investment indeed!
