This is the $40,500 Meneghini La Cambusa refrigerator. It is customizable and can include “space for coffee maker, fitted pantry, double pantry, ice-maker, microwave oven, steam oven and multi-function oven.” You can probably put a flat screen in it somehow, especially if you are willing to forego the coffee maker!
It has kind of a nautical look to it – which is probably why it looks like it would fit perfectly on a yacht, where space is presumably at a premium. It also comes in red.
It looks like it would be perfect for a small NYC studio apartment – where you probably would not have a yard or a back porch – maybe a brickwall to look at that would blend very nicely.
On the other hand, you and your designer could create something similar using Sub-Zero in any cabinet finish you might want – like this one designed by Brooke Edwards and Krista Agapito, also in red!
It has freezer compartments and drawers on the left, refrigerator compartment and drawers on the right and perfectly chilled wine storage in the center plus two more drawers to store glasses, dishes, wine openers or anything else you might need in a pinch. Something tells me they could fit a coffee maker or Sub-Zero’s newest Convection Steam Oven in there too! If you have more space, add a Wolf Range and make a whole kitchen of it!
